Why I Created Therapeutic Lifestyle Center

Hi, I’m Jennifer. I'm a therapist dedicated to helping people not just survive but truly thrive, even when life feels overwhelming. My passion for guiding others through difficult times comes from my own lived experience—raising five children with various mental health diagnoses, navigating the complexities of divorce, and earning my graduate degree all at once.

During that challenging chapter of my life, I leaned into a therapeutic lifestyle centered on self-care, emotional wellness, and personal growth. This commitment to living authentically and intentionally enabled me to emerge stronger, happier, and more vibrant than ever before. Today, I use that same approach to help my clients navigate life’s storms and emerge more resilient and fulfilled.

Our Approach

Everyone can heal and grow, no matter their circumstances. Our therapeutic style is compassionate, collaborative, and evidence-based. Our therapists draw from approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Positive Psychology, and Motivational Interviewing to create a personalized plan for each client.

Beyond these clinical methods, we incorporate holistic principles emphasizing the connection between mind and body. Whether it’s through mindfulness, lifestyle changes, or stress management techniques, we help clients cultivate habits that support long-term well-being.

KIDS/TEENS

Our team has decades of experience working with teens in the education setting as well as PHP/IOP settings, as well as with our own kiddos and teens. We have supported kids facing challenges like depression, anxiety, mood disorders, suicidal thoughts, self-harm, and substance use. We believe in partnering with parents to align on treatment goals, ensuring progress continues at home. Building trust with teens our priority—We’ve connected with countless adolescents through therapy groups and youth programs, always finding ways to relate and engage.

ADULTS

Feeling stuck and burned out from the endless demands of motherhood? You’re not alone. Juggling childcare, chores, work, and relationships often leaves little room for self-care. We’ve been there—completely overwhelmed and losing ourselves in the process. Reclaiming your identify and helping you cope with life’s many problems is our priority. Let’s work together to help you rediscover yourself and build the life you deserve.

COUPLES

Strengthening your relationship starts with understanding the underlying issues. At TLC you’ll get specialized care as you face relational crises, whether you're striving to deepen connection or contemplating separation. Using Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), we help couples navigate conflicts, improve communication, and restore intimacy. With experience supporting couples of all backgrounds, we offer a compassionate, structured approach to rebuild trust and foster a healthier, more fulfilling partnership.

Here’s how we’ll work together.

STEP 1

Schedule a 15-minute phone consultation to determine if we are a good fit for each other.

STEP 2

Begin treatment. Our first session will entail gathering information about you and your history. Be prepared to talk to me about any past trauma, treatment goals, medications you are taking, and health problems.

STEP 3

We will work together weekly or biweekly to resolve treatment goals and build coping skills to live an enriching life. We will revisit your treatment plan regularly and make updates as needed. As we get close to wrapping up treatment, I will update termination dates for treatment depending on symptomatology and treatment outcomes.
